Kim Rae Nugent, is a mixed-media artist/author from rural
Wisconsin
. She enjoys sharing her passion of the creative process, hence RAEvN’s Nest Art Retreat. Kim's book "Interactive Art Workshop – Mixed Media in Motion" is scheduled to be released October 2008 by North Light books. Her art has been featured in numerous publications including Somerset Studio, Artist Trading Card Workshop – Create Collect Swap, Somerset Home, Altered Couture, Somerset Wedding, Haute Handbags, Material Visions, and Artist Trading Cards -An Anthology of ATCs.
I am an active member of the Cedarburg Artists Guild. I have been the editor of the guild’s monthly newsletter for four years and have participated in the creation and production of several art events including the highly popular CAG Plein Air Event.
I have spent my life cultivating skills in collage, oil painting, sculpture, sewing, altered books and assemblage, often cross pollinating mediums for unique and exciting projects. My love of nature, especially animals is often reflected in my art. I have taken formal art courses at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee,
University
of
Wisconsin-Washington
