Workshop Description: This is a project class where we will be learning encaustic techniques
as we create a multi-layered collage on a wooden base. Guided by our
intuition, we will choose images that have special meaning to us and
layer by layer we will build the collage and then finish with a coat of shimmering iridescent encaustic wax. There will be a demonstration of
embedding, wax transfer and inlay techniques. Each student will take
home a beautiful layered collage of their own design and will have
learned quite a few encaustic techniques.
