Workshop Description: We will be thinking outside the box when creating these wonderful little boxes that can be both decorative and functional. We will begin with a plain wood box and it will be transformed by creating hand made mosaic tiles out of polymer clay for the lid. We will cover a variety of techniques for embellishing the tiles that include rubber stamping and using mica powders, embossing powders and embedding objects into the clay. Beaded tassels will be created and added to the sides. Lastly, we will cover techniques for painting our boxes and will finish up by giving them a set of legs to stand on!
